To quell my desire for fresh flowers and figure out a way to not break the bank, I have become a fan of the orchid. Its lovely blooms last for two to three months and they actually thrive on neglect. And, you really can find gorgeous blooms at the grocery store.
This week we offer up to you an orchid kit -- lovely planter and preserved moss -- that simply needs your grocery store orchid to make your home a little bit more lovely.
This couldn't be easier.
Step One: Grab an orchid at your favorite grocery store and the materials from our orchid kit.
Step Two: Place the orchid inside the planter from our orchid kit to be featured this Wednesday.
Step Three: Arrange the preserved moss (included in the kit we will feature Wednesday) to cover the roots and connect the base of the planter to the the plant.
Step Four: Enjoy! Drop an ice cube or two into the pot once a week to water it.
Lovely to have this little beauty in the home and we hope our orchid kit makes it a delight for you to add one to your home, too.
This is so pretty! I also LOVE have fresh flowers in the house and this is a great solution. Thanks for the how-to. See you Wednesday :)
